HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Hazard Independent Schools recently named a new superintendent.
Sondra Combs has worked for the Hazard School System for more than 20 years.
She says she is grateful and excited for the opportunity to hold the superintendent title.
"It's a great honor to take this position and because we have such a great tradition of academic excellence and a traditional family and, as we always say at Hazard High School, a tradition to the best we can be," added Combs.
Combs succeeds Sandy Johnson who decided to retire.
Combs will officially take on the position on July 1st.
