(WYMT) - A low-pressure system will continue to track across our area bringing more soggy conditions into the mountains.
Tongiht and Tomorrow
Rain chances will pick back up this evening and continue into your Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has put us in a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather this evening. We are not expecting anything severe tonight, but a few thunderstorms and gusty winds are not out of the question.
Those rain chances continue this weekend as the front continues its slow trek to the east. Highs on Saturday will be chilly, only getting into the upper 40s to lower 50s for most. The rain will finally start to move out Saturday night with skies starting to clear gradually. Lows will drop to around 40.
The sunshine returns just in time for Easter Sunday, with temperatures into the mid to upper 60s. It should be a nice and dry day for all of your outdoor plans and activities. Lows will drop into the low 50s overnight.
Sunshine and warmer temperatures continue into the first couple of days of the new work week.
Highs on Monday and Tuesday look to be back into the upper 70s to lower 80s. A stray chance for a shower or two is possible on Tuesday, but it looks like we remain mostly dry.
Some models bring in scattered rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. We'll continue to monitor that.
