(WYMT) - Tonight features chilly temperatures and a few chances for scattered snow showers.
Tonight and Tomorrow
For tonight the clouds will increase with mostly cloudy skies as a weak cold front moves into the mountains. This front will bring some scattered snow showers for some. These snow showers will be very light with little accumulation. We are not expecting major impacts with tonight's snow chance. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s.
We could see a few more flurries Friday morning with a mixture of sun and clouds by the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s. Overnight lows will only drop into the lower 30s due to clouds moving in overnight.
The first half of this weekend looks okay with highs on Saturday in the lower 40s with mostly cloudy skies. A wintry mix will arrive late Saturday night and continue through Sunday and Monday.
The days we are still uncertain about are Sunday and Monday. We do know that a winter system will impact the mountains early Sunday morning and continue into Monday. We are still too far out to talk about snow totals. Models were starting to become a little bit more consistent but today they threw us a curve ball.
Stay tuned with the WYMT Weather Team as we try to tackle this forecast over the next few days.
As for the rest of the work week, we look to dry out for your Tuesday with highs in the lower 30s and overnight lows in the upper 20s.
For your Wednesday and Thursday we warm back up into the mid to upper 40s with more chances for rain. Yes, just rain.
