Sheriff's office identifies body found burned in driveway

Officials with the Laurel County Sheriff's Office released the identity of a person found dead Friday morning.

Deputies say they found the burned body of Billy Bowling, 86, in a driveway on York Shire Estates Road.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what led up to Bowling's death.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a burned body was found Friday morning.

A call came in about 9:30 a.m. saying a body was on fire in a driveway.

When officers arrived the person was already dead.

A death investigation is underway to find out what happened. An autopsy will be done in Frankfort on Saturday.

The victim's name and location will not be released until family has been notified.
