WISE COUNTY, W. Va. (WYMT) - The Wise County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Forestry Service need your help regarding a recent vandalism case.

Authorities said vandals took a newly-installed trailhead sign at Little Stony Falls during the holidays.

The sign for the High Knob Trail was placed only a couple weeks ago. The sheriff's office said the vandals cut the signposts with a saw to remove it.

This is not the first time a sign was stolen in this way from Jefferson National Forest. Officials said a sign was taken during the holidays the year before as well, this time from Corder Town Bottom Road.

If you have any information about the vandalism, you are asked to call U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement at 276-679-8370 Ext. 225.
