CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating after they found a man with a gunshot wound Monday.
Deputies got a call about a possible shooting at a home on Highway 3436 in Corbin. While on their way, they found Albert Lee France, 37, of Barbourville walking along the highway with a visible wound on his left shoulder.
Once deputies arrived at the home, they found another man with a visible wound on his forehead. Investigators said France assaulted the man with an unnamed object before trying to assault a woman that lived there as well.
The woman then shot France once in the shoulder with a .22 caliber handgun, deputies said.
France was taken to Baptist Regional Medical Center and then transported to UK Medical Center. The other injured man was treated by EMS on the scene.
The sheriff's office is still investigating and said charges are pending.
