LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Laurel County Sheriff's Office arrested a man early Wednesday morning after he allegedly attacked a woman and two women on drug charges.

Authorities investigated after a woman was treated at a hospital for alleged domestic assault injuries. They said Nathan Lewis Hale, 38, of London was accused of firing a rifle multiple times near the victim.

Investigators said Hale then sprayed the woman with a fire extinguisher and hit her in the back and side with the fire extinguisher canister.

During a search of the home where the alleged assault happened, deputies found Hale in possession of more than 40 grams of crystal meth. Two women were in the home at the time, who deputies said were under the influence.

Hale was charged with wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance and fourth-degree assault.

Angela Diane Bowman, 35, of Manchester was charged with public intoxication. Deputies said she admitted to taking meth the night before.

Cynthia Michelle Smith, 36, of London was charged with public intoxication. She also apparently admitted to taking meth the night before. She also had a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest for second-degree escape after she allegedly removed her home incarceration bracelet.

All three were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
