Sheriff: Man arrested for DUI, had to be carried to patrol car

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT)- Officials said Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson arrested a man who was driving under the influence Monday night.

Sheriff Robinson was dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on North Highway 66.

Officials said he found 68-year-old Tommy Slone of Tennessee drinking whiskey.

An investigation found Slone highly intoxicated.

Officials from the Sheriff’s Department said Slone had to be carried to the patrol car.

Clay County EMS, Oneida Fire Department and Clay County Animal Control all assisted at the scene.
