Sheriff: Fatal crash in Pulaski County still under investigation

Officials from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said around 10:30 PM on Friday deputies responded to reports of a wreck at the intersection of Highway 461 and Old Mount Vernon Road in eastern Pulaski County.
A deputy found that James Oliver, 20, of Crossville, Tennessee was headed south on Highway 461 in a 2009 Hyundai when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 1998 GMC operated by Milton Brock, 81, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky.
James Oliver was treated at the scene by Pulaski County EMS personnel and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Oliver was later transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Two passengers in Oliver's vehicle were also injured. Eric Peek, 22, of Sparta, Tennessee was treated by Pulaski County EMS and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for further treatment.
Olivia Stone, 20, also from Sparta, Tennessee was treated by Rockcastle County EMS and was transported to Rockcastle Regional Hospital for further treatment.
Milton Brock and two passengers in his vehicle, Brenda Griffin, 52, and a 6-year-old, both from Crab Orchard, Kentucky were transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment. Milton Brock was later pronounced dead at the hospital by the Pulaski County Coroner's Office.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Shopville-Stab and Woodstock Fire Departments, Pulaski County Rescue Squad, and the Pulaski County Hazmat and special response team.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
