FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is running again, for what would be his seventh term as a senator.

McConnell launched his reelection campaign with a three-minute video. This video highlighted his backing of hemp legalization and the Republican-led Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. He also references President Trump frequently throughout the video.

Currently, the 77-year-old senator has no Republican opposition.

Activist Steven Cox is the only Democrat opposing McConnell.

Time Magazine recently named McConnell as one of the 100 most influential people.
