Secretary of State: What's next in the recanvassing process

about what the recanvass process looks like.
The county boards of elections will meet on Thursday, November 14 to check and make sure the vote totals from each machine were recorded accurately.
But Grimes said she does not expect this to make a difference. She has seen many recanvasses, but none caused the election outcomes to change.
The next step after the recanvass, should Bevin chose to continue, is to file an election contest with the General Assembly to get a recount. This has to be within 30 days after the votes are certified.
“While every vote does matter and does count... I wouldn’t feel a contested proceeding before the General Assembly would likely result in anything either,” says Grimes.
If nothing changes, Beshear will be inaugurated on December 10.
