LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - The U.S. Secretary of Education will visit Lexington Wednesday as part of two stops in Kentucky.

Our sister station, WKYT, reports that U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will join Gov. Matt Bevin during the trip, which also includes traveling to Benton to announce an anti-violence grant to the Marshall County School District.

This follows a deadly shooting at the school in 2018, which saw two students killed

Bevin and DeVos will host a roundtable discussion in Lexington at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College on Newtown Pike at 11 a.m.

The pair will discuss school choice efforts.
