SWAT team launches investigation for Claiborne County man

TAZEWELL, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office SWAT team served a narcotics search warrant on Wednesday at a home on North Hills Drive in Tazewell.

Jason Michael Hopson, who lives at the home, is being investigated in response to the sale and distribution of meth.

During the search, officials said they found meth in the room where Hopson was hiding, and that they recovered drug paraphernalia along with items believed to be used to sell narcotics.

Hopson was arrested and charged with the sale and delivery of Schedule II drugs, Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
