LETCHER CO., Ky. (WYMT) Behind an abandoned building in Letcher County, a truck was found stripped from everything it was worth.

Kentucky State Police received the call around 10 p.m. last Friday.

The trunk belonged to Doyle Wright who was in the hospital at the time.

"They stripped all of his tools, all his air tools air compressor big truck tools tire changing equipment," said Jeff Stidham.

Stidham works with Doyle and had a family member call and tell him that a white truck was parked behind the building. Stidham contacted Doyle’s wife who then contacted the police.

"It was a huge blow. That was his main source of income," said Stidham. "Central pneumatic air guns, quarter inch, half an inch, three-quarter inch, inch drive."

Stidham believes that eight to ten thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen, and that’s not counting the other parts.

"He has to start from scratch again. And while he's sick, he is still sick and in recovery. You're talking two to three years to get it back," said Stidham.

Two men have been arrested and charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. Joseph Nix and Joey Hacker are currently held in the Letcher County Detention Center.

The Wrights are offering a $1,000 reward for an arrest of the person responsible.
