Record-breaking heat continues in the mountains

By  |

(WYMT) - Good morning! We've had two days of record-breaking heat. Will the streak continue?

Today and Tonight
Today we will start off with mostly sunny skies. Clouds will be partly cloudy into the afternoon, with a stray rain chance. In fact, today will be a lot like yesterday. Expect highs in the low to mid 90s! By the evening hours, we will see mostly clear skies with overnight lows dropping into the upper 60s.

Extended Forecast
A possible cold front will move into the mountains Friday and Saturday which will bring a little bit more rain into the mountains.

Neither day looks like a total washout, but there is a chance for a few scattered showers both days. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s with overnight lows in the upper 60s.

Those hot temperatures continue into Sunday, but we look to remain on the drier side that day as well.

It looks like we might see cooler temperatures by the new workweek! Highs look to drop into the low to mid-80s. We'll keep an eye on that trend over the next few days.
