(WYMT) - That cold front will continue to move through the mountains which will bring rain chances tonight and Friday.
Tonight and Friday
Rain chances will continue to increase tonight and into your Friday.
This evening we'll continue to see those scattered rain chances become more widespread overnight. We are still under that marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather this evening so a few of those scattered storms could be on the strong side. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Friday, those rain chances will continue into the day. Most of the showers and storms will produce heavy rain. Highs will struggle to get out of the 70s as that front moves through. Most of us will top out in the upper 70s for highs with lows in the low to mid-60s. We are not expecting any severe weather which is good news for Friday night football!
Models are hinting at some clearing by the evening and overnight hours. I would still bring the rain gear to the games on Friday, but let's keep our fingers crossed that the front gets out of here quickly!
Saturday and Sunday
By the weekend we will see cooler temperatures and only a few rain chances!
Highs for both days will be in the lower 80s with overnight lows in the low to mid-60s! We could see a stray chance for a shower or two on Saturday and Sunday, but for now, I think most of us stay dry.
The cooler trend continues into the new workweek along with those daily rain chances.
Highs look to remain in the lower 80s throughout the majority of the workweek with lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Rain chances increase slightly as we head into your Monday and Tuesday. Honestly, models are kind of all over the place so we'll continue to keep an eye on that trend.
