ATLANTA, Ga. (WYMT) - President Trump is set to speak at the Rx Drug abuse and Heroin Summit in Atlanta, Wednesday.
The legal threat to President Donald Trump that seemed so dangerous upon Mueller's appointment in May 2017 has waned.
This is the third year in a row a sitting or former U.S. President will head south to give a speech.
Congressman Hal Rogers says this is an opportunity for the largest public figure in America to help the war on drugs.
"He's got the bully pulpit. All the media pays attention to what he says. having him and the first lady here and she has played a big role in this too. Having both of them here helps us spread the gospel big time. Last year we had President Clinton and the year before that President Obama, so this is the third year we will have A president and of course this one incumbent, and is, of course, able to talk," said Congressman Rogers.
President Trump and First Lady are set to speak at 1:00 p.m. and we plan to carry it live on WYMT.com
