Update: Body found near missing man's truck, per state police

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Update 7/3/19

A missing man's truck has been found, not far from an unidentified body.

Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 15 say Adam McCoy's pick-up truck was found in Metcalfe County.

An unidentified body was found less than one mile away. Troopers are not yet ready to say if the body is McCoy. They are waiting for dental records results from the medical examiner's office.

No foul play is suspected at this time, but it has not been ruled out.

Metcalfe County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who has been missing since May 24.

On Friday, May 24, Adam D. McCoy left his home on Glen Shaw Road in Metcalfe County and family have not heard from him since.

McCoy was driving a blue/gray 1984 GMC pick-up truck, bearing KY license plate 251YZC.

McCoy is 6' tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has green eyes and partially balding brown hair. McCoy also has a tattoo of a Confederate flag and an eagle on his right shoulder.

Police say he has family in Metcalfe County as well as Floyd and surrounding counties.
