Kentucky State Police are investigating two deaths on Rock Lick Creek Road in a remote area of Jackson County Thursday.
The Jackson County Deputy Coroner and State Police were called to the scene Thursday evening when two bodies were found after a vehicle fire.
Coroner Melvin Lakes says the fire was out when authorities arrived.
Lakes said one person was found inside the vehicle and another outside it. Both bodies were burned beyond recognition, but one victim is a man and the other is a woman.
The bodies have been taken to the medical examiner's office in Frankfort for autopsies and to be identified.
It is unknown if foul play was involved at this time.
