Police charged a man for cruelty to animals Wednesday following an investigation into possible animal abuse at a Nativity scene outside Pikeville Medical Center.

Pikeville Police began investigating after a woman posted a video to Facebook.

PMC officials told WYMT they were shocked to hear about the video. After contacting the owners of the animals, PMC officials said they canceled the contract with the animals' owners, Five H Ranch.

Police charged Joseph Price, of Missouri, for cruelty to animals (second degree), according to a news release issued Wednesday.

We are told Price was fired and all Nativity showings are now canceled.
