Grand jury will hear case of man accused of killing Leslie County girlfriend

LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) -

A grand jury will hear the case of the Leslie County man accused of killing his girlfriend.

A judge waived Dustin Stidham's case Tuesday.

Police say Stidham killed Paige Murphy in early November.

The grand jury will decide whether to indict Stidham.

Kentucky State Police say they found a man wanted in connection with the murder of a woman in Leslie County.

Police found Dustin Stidham on Lower McIntosh Road in Leslie County just before 5 p.m. Saturday.

Police say he was arrested without incident.

Police say Stidham shot and killed Paige Murphy early Thursday morning.

Leslie County Schools decided to cancel classes for all students Friday, November 9 in response to the manhunt.

Tuesday, Stidham pleaded not guilty. A preliminary hearing is set for next Tuesday.
