GRAY, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police helped Indiana State Police track down a missing teenager Thursday afternoon.

Troopers were told the missing 15-year-old was with her father, Thomas Ray Childers. Both had been reported missing since September 19.

Childers had lost custody of his daughter due to abuse allegations and had active warrants in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.

Police went to a home off Logan Hollow Road in the Gray community of Knox County, where they saw Childers in the driveway. Childers went into the house but then released the teen.

Troopers were able to then arrest the father without any trouble and took him to the Knox County Detention Center.

Childers faces charges of flagrant non-support and fugitive from another state.

Indiana Social Services arranged for the daughter to be reunited with her mother.
