MANCHESTER, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police arrested a Clay County man following a high-speed chase earlier this week.

Investigators said Derek Osborne would not stop for them, and drove more than 100 miles per hour.

According to the arrest citation, he passed several cars in no passing zones while other cars approached head-on. Several cars were forced off the road.

At one point, a state trooper said Osborne tried to run him off the road.

Police said Osborne eventually stopped his car, got out and tried to run. A trooper tried to use a taser on him and missed. They then got Osborne on the ground and restrained him.

He faces speeding more than 26 miles over the speed limit, wanton endangerment of a police officer and fleeing or evading police.

Troopers took Osborne to the Clay County Detention Center.
