LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Laurel County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman Monday after police said a four-year-old showed up at someone else's home while the woman looking after the child used drugs.

Police arrested Deborah Donette Huff, 36, of Annville and charged her with three counts of second-degree wanton endangerment and public intoxication.

The sheriff's office said around 4 p.m. a four-year-old showed up at someone else's home.

When deputies arrived, the child showed officers where they lived, which was nearly 2/10 of a mile away.

The sheriff's office said deputies investigated and learned that Huff had smoked methamphetamine and also took Suboxone.

Huff said the child had been missing at least 30 minutes, but police said she failed to notify law enforcement.

Deputies also learned that Huff drove with the child and two other children while under the influence.

Huff was taken to Laurel County Detention Center.
