LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Three people were arrested in Laurel County Tuesday after police responded to a shooting.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a shooting call around 6:30 a.m. on Fisherman Cove Road.
Deputies said they determined 29-year-old Michael Robert Barrett shot 40-year-old Noah Saylor in the arm during an altercation.
Barrett and Saylor were hospitalized for their injuries.
Saylor was charged with promoting contraband and possession of methamphetamine.
Barrett was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. 35-year-old Shawna Jeanette Davis was also arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
All three are being held at the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Investigators will present this case to the Laurel County grand jury regarding the shooting.
