LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - There is a possibility that ESPN might not be available to thousands of AT&T and DirecTV customers for Saturday's Kentucky-Florida game.
Sister station WKYT reports the SEC Network, ESPN and other Disney-owned networks may leave DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse and AT&T TVNow. This is due to an ongoing dispute between Disney and AT&T.
Attention @SEC fans! If you are a DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse or AT&T TVNow subscriber, you may not be able to view games on @SECNetwork (& other @ESPN and Disney networks) this weekend. Visit https://t.co/j0yzDYpouI for the latest info.— Greg Sankey (@GregSankey) September 13, 2019
Disney claims AT&T is refusing to reach a "fair, market-based agreement with us, despite the fact that the terms we are seeking are in line with recent marketplace deals we have reached with other distributors."
AT&T claims Disney is putting viewers in the middle of their negotiations and said it is working to prevent higher monthly costs for viewers.
The UK-Florida game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN Saturday.
