Pineville High School names Randy Frazier new head football coach

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Superintendent Russell Thompson released the name of Pineville's new head football coach Monday.

Randy Frazier will be leading the Mountain Lions into the next season.

Frazier is currently the Assistant Principal at Pineville Independent.

Frazier played football at Whitesburg High School and then went on to play football at Morehead State University. He also signed as a free agent into the NFL.

His coaching career started as a graduate assistant for the Morehead Eagles and then he started coaching high school football at Cumberland High School in Harlan County.

Frazier's last head coach position was at Middlesboro High School where they won district and Frazier was honored as district coach of the year.

Frazier had two winning seasons as Defensive Coordinator at Whitley County High School before coming to Pineville.

Frazier currently resides in Pineville with his wife and two kids, so he anticipates the transition to be smooth.

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:45 p.m.
