PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Pike County woman was arrested Tuesday on murder charges after a crash that killed a former Shelby Valley High School athlete.

20-year-old Lamont Jordan Wright died Oct 19 when a car in front of him made a u-turn.  He was on a motorcycle and hit the car's driver's door.

Kimberly Owens, 29, was driving the car at the time. Initially, no charges were made while police waited on toxicology results.

Last week, a Pike County Grand Jury indicted Owens for murder. Pike County Commonwealth's Attorney Rick Bartley said there was enough evidence to indict her, even though the toxicology results are not released yet.

Owens was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
