Man accused of shooting Perry County woman indicted

A man police say shot a woman in September pleaded not guilty Thursday morning.

A grand jury indicted Dustin Howard last month after police said he shot Risa Noble.

Howard faces one count of first-degree assault and two counts of wanton endangerment.

Another hearing is scheduled for March.

The Perry County grand jury indicted the man accused of shooting a Perry County woman back in September.

Dustin Howard, 19, of Bulan, was indicted Friday on one charge of first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

The indictment alleges Howard, on Sept. 18, shot Alison Clarissa Noble in the face with a loaded nine millimeter Luger pistol.

He also endangered the lives of William Neace and Lynnetta Hayden when he fired the pistol at close range near them, according to the indictment.

Howard's arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 1 in the Perry Circuit Courtroom.

His bond is currently set at $500,000 cash.

Dustin Howard, the man accused of shooting Allison Noble in the Combs community Friday night appeared in court for his arraignment Monday.

Howard is facing one count of attempted murder and two counts of wanton endangerment. He pleaded not guilty.

His bond remains at $525,000 cash.

A preliminary hearing for Howard is scheduled for Sept. 25.

Noble remains in stable but serious condition.

We now know the name of the man accused of shooting a woman in Perry County Friday night.

Jail officials tell us Dustin Howard was charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of wanton endangerment. Police also served Howard with four previous warrants.

Police say Howard escaped in the victim's car before deputies arrived on the scene, and was caught in her car in Breathitt County.

Jail officials say Howard's bond is set at $525,000 cash.

Officials say the woman who was shot is Allison (Risa) Noble. They say she is in serious but stable condition.

It happened around 11 p.m. Friday off Old Highway 80 in Combs.

Officials tell WYMT that a woman was shot. She was flown out to UK Medical Center with serious injuries.

Officials say the suspect, a man, is in custody. Police arrested the man in Breathitt County. We do not know the name of the suspect at this time.
