Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say all northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County are back open after a truck caught fire and spilled more than ten tons of coal.

Transportation officials say the truck fire was near mile marker 65.

It happened just before 10 o'clock Monday night. The interstate was closed for nearly six hours while crews cleaned up the coal.

Traffic was diverted from northbound I-75 at Exit 62 onto Highway 25, allowing vehicles to get back onto the interstate at either exits 72 or 76.
