New Indictment in Knox County murder trial
On Wednesday, November 27th a new indictment was announced against a Michigan man
would instead be charged with a superseding indictment.
A grand jury indicted Phillip Lee Lewis on murder and robbery charges back in the spring.
The new indictment adds a persistent felony offender charge.
Police believe Lewis is the man who killed Gary Medlin during an attempted robbery at a convenience store.
Following his arrest, Lewis told us from jail someone framed him.
