I remember the day like it was yesterday. My sister was over to visit me for the day and as we sat around spending time together. I remember the storms we had off and on all day. Tornado sirens going off outside, dark clouds going over my home, it was such a scary day. I had just found out that I was pregnant with my daughter a couple of weeks before it happened. As another tornado warning was issued, the skies got even darker, my sister and I were so scared. We ran down to my neighbor's apartment underneath mine because we knew we would feel safer there.

After the last storm hit our area, I saw on the news how a tornado touched down in the town close to me destroying many homes and killing several people. I couldn't believe what these people had just gone through. I prayed and prayed for them. I'll never forget to see the damage on television and how devastated all of those people were losing everything they had and some losing family members. I will never forget how scary it was that day.
