More than 3 dozen people arrested, nearly $7,000 in merchandise recovered
police have arrested more than 3 dozen people suspected to be involved in a shoplifting investigation.
Lexington police say investigators with the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association (KYORCA) carried out a "shoplifting blitz" during June 10 and June 12.
Nearly $7,000 dollars worth of stolen items were recovered. Those items included power tools, cookware, clothing, cosmetics, pet food, and several other items.
Authorities say 35 arrests were made, 5 citations issued, and 18 warrants were served. There were 32 shoplifting-related charges, 5 drug-related charges, and 5 burglary-related charges.
