(WYMT) - Thanksgiving week is off to a nice and mild start!
Temperatures in the upper 50s sure are a treat today! It's feeling great out there.
We'll stay clear for most of the evening with a few clouds drifting in late. Lows will drop into the mid-30s.
While the majority of Tuesday features sun and clouds, some scattered rain chances are possible during the evening hours and will increase in coverage overnight. Highs will top out in the low 60s, thanks to southwest winds bringing some warmer air in briefly. Lows will drop into the low 50s. It will be a bit breezy as well.
Wednesday through Friday
As we head into midweek and the start of one of the busiest travel times of the year, the rain chances will follow us into Wednesday morning. The good news is that they should start to clear out by the afternoon hours. Highs should again be in the low 60s early, before crashing behind the front that evening into the low 30s, so Thanksgiving will start off on a chilly note. Winds will be cranking, gusts could be up to 20 mph.
Right now, the daytime hours of Thanksgiving look dry. We could see a stray shower going into Thursday night and early Friday. Lows will drop into the mid-30s.
A flurry or two may fly in high elevations early Black Friday. Skies will clear to sun and clouds for the afternoon hours. Highs will climb to around 50 before falling into the low 40s overnight.
A new system looks to work its way into the region by the weekend to wrap up November and start December. Look for rain chances both days with highs in the 50s and lows in the mid-40s on Saturday night and around 30 on Sunday night.
Looking ahead, the first week of December looks to start off on a much colder note. More on that as we get closer.
