Jones said he will miss the show and thanked his co-hosts and viewers.

Original Story, Thursday
Matt Jones, founder of Kentucky Sports Radio, announces his new book taking aim at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Jones, an Eastern Kentucky native, has publicly considered a Democratic run for McConnell's senate seat in 2020.

"I don't know when I'll announce it for me personally I'm going to make a decision in the next couple of weeks and it is or it isn't. This book, people will believe it or not has nothing to do with me running, said Jones. "I agreed to do this book at a time I thought I wasn't going to run. I mean in June I assumed Amy McGrath would raise a lot of money and make it impossible to run I didn't assume that she wouldn't do well. so when I agreed to do this book my assumption was I wasn't running."

The book titled “Mitch, Please! How Mitch McConnell Sold Out Kentucky (And America Too),” is being published by Simon & Schuster.

Jones, an attorney, is writing the book with KSR contributor Chris Tomlin.

Our sister station WKYT reports McConnell campaign manager Kevin Golden states, “Many people are familiar with Matt’s book report from its original title when they called it Elizabeth Warren’s stump speech."

Jones responded to Golden's comment saying his book will be "more interesting and witty than Mitch McConnell's spokesman's comments on it."

The book is set for release in 2020.
