Man arrested for crashing and injuring three people while under the influence

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Laurel County deputies arrested a driver who crashed into another car while under the influence on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened off West Cumberland Gap Parkway, about ten miles south of London. Deputies say Jason Coffey rear-ended another car, injuring the two people inside. A woman who was a passenger in Coffey’s car was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Deputies arrested Coffey and charged him with driving under the influence along with other charges. He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
