LoveLoud Pike 2019 comes to a close
LoveLoud Pike kicked off Sunday as members of the Pike Association of Southern Baptists joined together in a mission to serve the community.
"We're just trying to get the community in and let them know that we love them like Jesus loved us and died on the cross for our sins," said volunteer Kevin Mullins.
He said the community feedback was positive: from the smiles on faces to the people who made their way to Christ through the outreach.
"We actually have seen a lot of people giving their lives to Christ," he said. "So, I can say that's definitely good feedback."
He said the blessings of the work came through helping the community.
"It's not only helped the people in the community. But it's helped the people that are working in it as well," he said.
LoveLoud Pike has now served the community for five years and volunteers say they hope to continue the outreach next year.
