Louisville company apologizes for representing man accused of killing a police officer

The Louisville company that employeed the man accused of killing a Louisville Metro Police detective is issuing an apology.

Metropolitan Sewer District Executive Director, Tony Parrott, apologized for the decision to represent Roger Burdette in court.

He said their decision to hire an attorney for Burdette was based on what they knew at the time, that an employee driving an M.S.D. vehicle was involved in a crash.

He also said they have begun the process of firing Burdette.
