A London artist has donated a painting to help support "Shop with a Cop."

Artist Judy Brown donated the painting officers are calling "Winter Wonderland" as a silent auction item where all proceeds will benefit the program.

Jamie Harrison, Treasurer/Secretary for "Shop with a Cop," says the event allows police to take kids through Walmart to spend $100 on clothes and shoes for Christmas.

The event is something everyone involved looks forward to each year because of the impact it has on the kids.

"Last year there was a little girl who was in the toy aisle and she held her toy and just stared at it and kind of shook it and she said, 'this is the best day ever, I am so happy,'" said Megan Zawko, Public Information Officer for the London Police Department. "For a child to say that and you know, being a part of that it's wonderful."

The kids that participate are selected through their school's resource center.

If anyone wants to bid on the painting you can do so through the London Police Department's Facebook page, through the event for the auction.

Donations can be made year-round through any of the law enforcement departments that participate.
