London police remember one of their own who died Wednesday

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - Police in London are remembering one of their own.

Retired Sergeant Lester Eugene VanHook died Wednesday night.

The department says VanHook started his career in law enforcement as a dispatcher in 1975.

Later he became a patrolman for the city. He retired in 1996 as a sergeant.

His visitation is at Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
