The VFW Post 7387 in Hazard is holding their annual spaghetti dinner Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jama Griffie, the Senior Vice President, says each meal will cost just $7, including spaghetti, dessert, salad, and even a roll.
Griffie says the proceeds go to services benefiting veterans in the community. The auxiliary raises money every year for scholarships, homeless shelters, equipment for gravesite cleanings, and gravesite flags.
"Part of our responsibility is to take care of the people who have fought for our freedoms," Griffie said. "So, I feel that any fundraising that we do that goes back to our veterans or even those that have [gone] on before us and that have fought for our country ... can help better them."
Workers at the VFW encourage everyone to donate and help those who risked their lives.
If you are unable to stop by the post to chat, they are willing to make business deliveries as well.
