LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - For Superbowl Sunday millions turned on the TV to watch the cutest sporting event, The Puppy Bowl.
Saturday in Lexington, there was a local version of the event.
Our sister station WKYT reports, The Summitt at the Fritz Farm hosted its inaugural Puppy Bowl.
There were multiple dog-friendly activities and since it was a little chilly out today, the pups were under a heated tent.
"We love coming out in the community, telling everybody what we're about, all the programs we have from foster care to first contact, just everything, so, coming out being able to meet people, meet their dogs, and maybe make a little love connection with one our puppies, it's the best, it's why we do it," Ashley Marcum with the Lexington Humane Society.
The Lexington Humane Society is hosting another event next month called Tales and Ales.
