FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - Thursday was the second-to-last day of the Kentucky legislative session.

Sister station WKYT reports  a bill cracking down on tobacco use at schools is headed to the Senate. The bill bans all tobacco and vaping products on school property.

The future of many other bills is still unknown.

This includes the proposals on private school scholarship tax credits and reorganizing the election process for the Teachers Retirement Board.

A lot of teachers have been protesting these bills, some calling in sick to do so.
