Laurel County man accused of murdering twin with hammer found not guilty

LAUREL CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Update 1/9/19
A Laurel County court official tells WYMT a jury reached a verdict in the case against Antonio Johnson.

Johnson was accused of using a hammer to kill his twin brother Anthony in 2016.

We are told a jury found Johnson not guilty on Tuesday.

A jury heard testimony on Monday and the trial continues Tuesday morning.

A Laurel County murder trial set for July was pushed back.

June 28, a judge continued the trial for Antonio Johnson.

He is accused of using a hammer to kill his twin brother Anthony. This happened at a home on Robinson Creek Road in 2016.

The trial was set for November 13 but was pushed back again. The new trial date is Monday, January 7.
