FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - A hearing on the lawsuit involving teacher "sickouts" took place in Frankfort Monday morning.
The Attorney General's Office sued the Labor Cabinet for sending subpoenas for the names of teachers involved in the sickouts.
But the Labor Cabinet ended up getting the information from another source, which is why attorneys argue the lawsuit is moot.
The cabinet is also filing a motion to dismiss the suit.
Last week, the labor secretary said more than 1,000 teachers violated state law by participating in the sickout rallies.
