Highway 160 back open following crash in Knott County

CARR CREEK, Ky. (WYMT) - Highway 160 is back open following a two-car crash in Knott County.

It happened Tuesday morning near Carr Creek Elementary School.

Officials tell WYMT the two vehicles involved were an American Electric Power (AEP) truck and a mini-van.

Police say the driver of the mini-van was trapped inside of the vehicle and had to be cut out. They were flown from the scene to a hospital. We're told they do not believe the victim had life-threatening injuries.

We do not know how the crash happened or if anyone else was injured.
