Kentucky starts the regular season with a loss to Duke

INDIANAPOLIS, In. (WYMT) – Not the start the Big Blue Nation wanted.

No. 2 Kentucky basketball opened up the 2018-19 regular season with a loss Tuesday night in the State Farm Champions Classic.

The No. 4 Blue Devils dropped 59 points in the first half, and kept it up in the second half, resulting in a 118-84 final score.

With the win for Duke, Mike Krzyzewski moves to 6-2 against Kentucky. John Calipari is now 1-3 against the Blue Devils.

Kentucky starts the season 0-1 and will host the Southern Illinois Salukis Friday night in Rupp Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
