Kentucky fans celebrate a win over Alabama, looking forward to the semifinals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WYMT) - The Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals 73-55 Friday night. Kentucky fans loved the performance from the Cats in the matchup.

They also enjoyed the performance from Reid Travis, who made his return to the court after sitting out for multiple weeks. It's also important to note that the play of Tyler Herro may have been even bigger.

Fans left Bridgestone Arena Friday night in celebration. They are pumped the Cats took down the Crimson Tide.

"I thought it was great from the beginning to the end, never in doubt, never in doubt go cats," said one Kentucky fan.

When asked about the performance from the Wildcats, Kentucky fans loved them all.

"It was great we needed him (Reid) the whole time but Herro was a beast," one Kentucky fan mentioned. "They say it starts with Ashton Hagans but I think it starts with Tyler Herro, if you watch him he as always all over the place and he is what wins games."

Kentucky will face Tennessee Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
