FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - The Inspector General for the Kentucky National Guard is warning people of a recent scam.

A scammer is spoofing the Kentucky National Guard's number to trick people.

Officials said people are receiving messages that there are warrants for their arrest and must provide social security numbers.

Remember, no legitimate business or agency will call to ask for your social security number.

If you get a call like this, call police or the Inspector General's office at 1-866-THE-KYIG.
