JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The trial of Bobby Hammonds started earlier this week, and a jury convicted him late Thursday night.
Hammonds was found guilty on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence.
He aided in the killings of Joey Marcum and Whitney Venable in 2017. Investigators found them dead inside a burned car.
The jury recommended a 50-year sentence. Hammonds will learn his punishment in May.
